NORFOLK, Va. – Norfolk State University assistant athletics director and head baseball coach Claudell Clark has been selected to participate in the 2016-17 class of the LEAD Hampton Roads program.

According to the program’s web site, leadhamptonroads.org, LEAD Hampton Roads connects established and emerging leaders through a nine-month program to study the region’s key issues, build lifelong networks and develop innovative leadership strategies. Recognized as one of the country’s premier leadership programs with the 2004 Preceptor Award from the International Community Leadership Association, LEAD is the region’s oldest and largest leadership network. The program brings together seasoned leaders from across Hampton Roads and provides unique avenues for cooperation, innovative problem solving and the development of lasting professional and civic relationships. The program focuses leaders on key issues that impact Hampton Roads and its position in the state, the nation and the global economy.

LEAD Hampton Roads seeks to help build and strengthen regional leadership through education, partnerships and networking across traditional boundaries for the purpose of improving the quality of life in greater Hampton Roads.
