Wildcats Baseball Upended at North Florida, 3-2
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Zach Olszewski was 2-for-3 with a run scored on Tuesday evening, but it was Bethune-Cookman falling to North Florida, 3-2, in non-conference baseball action at Harmon Stadium.
The B-CU offense was sparked by Zach Olszewski’s 2-for-3 night, while five other Wildcats mustered up hits, including Robinson’s two-RBI double.
Bethune-Cookman gets back to the diamond Saturday, April 11, when the Wildcats get back to Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference action at North Carolina Central for a three-game series in Durham, North Carolina. The games will be played at Durham Athletic Park, beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday.

Aggies Fall to Winthrop
GREENSBORO – By the time the North Carolina A&T offense got jumpstarted Tuesday night Winthrop had already jumped out to a nice lead as the Eagles held on for a 12-7 win in baseball action at War Memorial Stadium.
The Aggies (3-27) dropped their 11th straight despite having three players record multiple-hit games. Senior Brandon Wilkerson led the way by going 2-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Junior Lance Jensen, making his sixth start of the season, went 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored including his first career home run. Freshman A.J. Hunt had 2-for-4 night as well.

Tides Top NSU 3-0 in Annual Exhibition Game
NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Tides defeated Norfolk State in the teams' annual exhibition game by a score of 3-0 on Tuesday night before 6,766 fans at Harbor Park.
The Tides, Triple-A minor league affiliates of the Baltimore Orioles, scored one run in the bottom of the first and made that lead stand up, adding two more insurance runs in the bottom of the seventh and final inning.
Chris Jones earned the win for the Tides after pitching a scoreless first inning. Josh Vales took the loss for the Spartans. Despite giving up a run on two hits, Vales also struck out the side in the bottom of the first. NSU relievers Alex Mauricio, Michael Parmentier, Robbie Hiser, Jonathan Mauricio, Corey Haynes and Cooper Jones combined to keep the Tides off the board in the second through sixth innings.
The game, now in its fifth year, also serves as a fundraiser for the Spartan baseball program. The five meetings have drawn more than 38,000 fans to Harbor Park in what has become a popular event for NSU supporters and baseball fans in the surrounding community.
