Hawks Fall in Midweek Contest against Towson
TOWSON, Md. - Senior Joshua James and junior Connor Breslin stayed hot at the plate, but the Hawks could not extend their winning streak to four games as they dropped a non-conference game to the Towson Tigers by a 6-2 final.
James scored both of the team's run in a perfect 3-for-3 day on offense, all of them singles. His base knock led to a run in the first, and a sixth inning walk led to a second trip home. Breslin had a 2-for-4 day, also a pair of singles. James' average now stands at .272, third best on the team, while Breslin has improved his average more than 40 points over the last four games.
UMES goes back to MEAC action with a three game series at Coppin State Friday and Saturday.

FAMU Baseball Drops 10-4 Decision to Jacksonville on Tuesday
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida A&M (11-16, 7-5 MEAC) fell to Jacksonville (13-15, 0-0 A-Sun) by a score of 10-4 at Moore-Kittles Field on Tuesday. The final five Dolphin runs scored were unearned. FAMU scored two runs on three hits in the second inning, but was held to only two hits between the third and eighth innings before scoring two more runs in the ninth inning. Ryan Kennedy (2-for-4) and Michael Birdsong (2-for-4) were the only two Rattlers with multiple hits.
Rattler starter David Ogilvie (0-4) took the loss after allowing four runs on three hits with three walks and one strikeout in 2.1 innings of work.
Florida A&M hosts Bethune-Cookman this weekend in a MEAC Southern Division showdown at Moore-Kittles Field. The series is the final home weekend series of the season for the Rattlers. Due to Easter Weekend, game one will be Friday at 4:00 PM while Saturday’s doubleheader will begin at 1:00 PM.

B-CU Diamond Cats Take Down FIU, 7-4
MIAMI – Redshirt senior Jordan Robinson was 3-for-5 at the plate Tuesday night, helping spark Bethune-Cookman Baseball to a 7-4 victory over FIU at FIU Baseball Stadium. The win for the Wildcats helped them complete the season series sweep of the Panthers, having defeated FIU a week ago in Daytona Beach.
The hot-hitting Jordan Robinson continued his hitting streak at a season-best nine games, collecting his third hit of the night with a run-scoring double to left that crossed Nathan Bond for the go-ahead score at 4-3. Robinson would advance to third on the play as the FIU defense tried to cut down Bond at the plate.
Bethune-Cookman is back in action Wednesday, April 1, when the Wildcats travel to the University of Miami for a showdown with the No. 12 Hurricanes inside Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
