NORFOLK, Va. -- Savannah State’s Charles Sikes earned the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Baseball Player of the Week honors, while Florida A&M's David Ogilvie was selected Pitcher of the Week. Bethune-Cookman’s Mijon Cummings earned Rookie of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday.
Sikes (1B, 6-4, Sr., Hinesville, Ga.) registered a .444 batting average (8-of-18), including four doubles, four runs scored and four RBI’s, against Alabama and LIU Brooklyn. Defensively, he recorded 39 putouts, without an error.
Ogilvie (P, 6-6, Jr., Destin, Fla.) recorded nine strikeouts in six innings pitched, scattering five hits in a shutout against Bethune-Cookman.
Cummings (3B, 5-11, Fr., Lutz, Fla.) went 1-for-2 with one run scored in a 6-2 win. He walked twice and scored once.

Keith Zuniga (B-CU) picked up his first win of the season in a 6-2 victory over Florida A&M.
