NORFOLK, Va. – Maryland Eastern Shore senior Byron Campbell earned the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday. Norfolk State’s Stephen Butt was selected Pitcher of the Week, while Maryland Eastern Shore’s Skylar Murray earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Campbell (RF, 5-11, Sr., Waldorf, Md.) hit .591 for the week (13-for-22) in games against Delaware State and Lehigh, including two home runs and three doubles. Campbell also had 13 RBIs and scored four runs. He went 4-for-5 with a home run and one double in a game against Delaware State.
Butt (P, 6-0, Jr., Suffolk, Va.) struck out a career-high 10 batters to lead Norfolk State to a win over Coppin State. Butt gave up three runs on five hits, while retiring 24 of the 31 batters he faced.
Murray (1B, 6-3, Fr., Georgetown, Del.) batted .471 (8-for-17), including one double and two RBIs, helping the Eagles in wins against Delaware State and Lehigh, respectively.

Alex Dandridge (NCCU) struck out a season-high eight batters and allowed no runs in seven innings against Savannah State.

Austin Denney (SSU) struck out eight in eight innings in a win against North Carolina Central.
Ron Farley (DSU) belted a home run in the series opener against Maryland Eastern Shore.
William Grebenstein (CSU) pitched his first-career shutout in a win against Norfolk State.
Devin Hemmerich (NSU) pitched a season-high seven innings, allowing one run off four hits against Coppin State.
Conrad Kovalcik (NCCU) went 3-for-4, including a double against Duke.
Matt McClain (DSU) tied a season-high with eight strikeouts against Maryland Eastern Shore.
Luke McCreesh (NCAT) pitched three innings to help preserve a 4-3 win against Bethune-Cookman.
Bryant Miranda (CSU) recorded a triple and one double with two RBIs against Norfolk State.
Bryant Munoz (BCU) went 3-for-3, with one RBI, in a win over North Carolina A&T.
Aaron Nardone (DSU) drove in five RBIs in a win against Maryland Eastern Shore.
John Pope (NCAT) went a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate with two doubles and two RBIs in a win over Bethune-Cookman.
Charles Sikes (SSU) went 3-for-7, including two doubles and one home run, in a series sweep against North Carolina Central.
Jesse Stinnett (UMES) captured a win against Delaware State, allowing only two runs on eight hits.
Luke Tendler (NCAT) went 4-for-4, with one RBI and a run scored, in a win against Bethune-Cookman.
