Hawks postpone baseball game against Georgetown
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore baseball game against Georgetown that was originally scheduled to be played tomorrow, Feb. 26, has been postponed. The recent string of bad weather has made the field conditions unplayable at Hawk field.
UMES has yet to announce a rescheduled game for the contest against Georgetown.
The Hawks will look to get back in the win column this weekend when the team travels to play in the Virginia Military Institute Tournament in Lexington, Va. UMES will open up with the University of Buffalo on Friday at 12:30 p.m.
Delaware State postponed at George Washington
DOVER, Del. --- The Delaware State/George Washington University baseball game scheduled for today in Washington, D.C., has been postponed. The teams are working to re-schedule the contest.
Also, the Hornets have announced changes to this weekend's home series against Akron at Soldier Field.
The Hornets and Zips will play a single game on Saturday (Mar. 1) starting at 2:00 p.m.
The teams will close out the series with a doubleheader on Sunday (Mar. 2) beginning at noon.
