RICHMOND, Va.- Savannah State head baseball coach Carlton Hardy was named an Honorable Mention for National Coach of the Year by CollegeBaseballInsider.com.
Hardy led the Tigers to a 33-23 record this past season. SSU won the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament and played in the Tallahassee Regional of the NCAA Tournament. Hardy was also chosen 2013 MEAC Coach of the Year
In his eight years as head coach at SSU, Hardy has produced over 200 victories, the second most wins for any Tiger baseball coach.
Tracy Smith of Indiana was named the 2013 CollegeBaseballInsider.com National Coach of the Year.
