Coppin State's Kashangaki Among Nation's Leaders in Stolen Bases

Norfolk, Va.,- Coppin State junior Chris Kashangaki remains ranked among the nation's elite as he is ranked in the top 10 in both stolen bases and stolen bases per game according to the latest NCAA statistics.

Kashangaki is currently ranked seventh in the nation in stolen bases and eighth in stolen bases per game. He has 28 stolen bases on the year and is averaging 0.72 per game.

Kashangaki currently ranks third in Coppin State single-season history with 28 stolen bases and trails Amiel Traynum by one for a share of second place. Jason Booker holds the Coppin State school record with 49 stolen bases in 1986.

Coppin State returns to action this weekend with a three-game series at Maryland Eastern Shore beginning with a doubleheader on Saturday.
