Bethune-Cookman junior Matt Noble earned Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week honors in baseball for games played March 4-10, the conference announced on Wednesday. North Carolina Central’s Michael Romano was named Pitcher of the Week, while Maryland Eastern Shore’s Connor Breslin earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Noble (3B/SS, 5-9, Jr., 184, Flagler Beach, Fla.) hit .333 (7-for-21) with three doubles and six RBI in five games. Noble hit .750 (3-for-4), including two doubles and four RBI, to lead the Wildcats to a 7-0 victory over North Carolina Central. Defensively, he added 16 assists and four putouts with no errors as the Wildcats finished 3-2 for the week.
Romano (P, 61, 195, Sr., Spotsylvania, Va.) allowed no earned runs in a 3-2 win over Bethune-Cookman. Romano pitched 8.0 innings with five strikeouts allowing only five hits and two runs in the slim victory.
Breslin (P, 6-2, 180, Fr., Saylorsburg, Pa.) finished 4-for-13 from the plate with one run and two RBI as he aided the Hawks to a 2-2 finish last week. He recorded five putouts, 12 assists and stole two bases in the four outings.

Justin Bhatti (NSU) earned his first win of the year, allowing just two hits and two unearned runs, over six innings in a 7-3 win over Wagner.
Byron Campbell (UMES) hit .467 including one double and five runs in four games to maintain a 12-game hitting streak for the Hawks.
Dylan Drayton (NCCU) finished 3-for-5 (.600) with one double to help the Eagles defeat Norfolk State 6-1.
Montana Durapau (B-CU) recorded an ERA of 2.51 and collected a pair of wins over Central Michigan and North Carolina Central while pitching 14.1 innings with nine strikeouts.
Chase Kyriacou (NSU) hit the walk-off RBI double in the bottom of the ninth inning in a 2-1 win over Wagner.
Chris Lopez (UMES) earned his first career start with a 10-3 victory over Lafayette recording a 3.18 ERA allowing three runs and six hits in the win.
Myles Taylor (CSU) pitched eight no-hit innings with five strikeouts in a 1-0 loss to Lehigh.
Luke Tendler (NCAT) hit 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBI in a loss to Binghamton.
DarArmani Swift (NCAT) pitched 3.1 scoreless innings allowing only one walk in two games against Binghamton.
Kyle Vaas (NSU) recorded his first career two-hit after finishing 2-for-3 (.667) against N.C. Central.
