DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Tuesday's Bethune-Cookman baseball game against Stetson has been canceled due to heavy rains and a tornado watch in eastern Volusia County, B-CU baseball announced just after 1 p.m.
The Wildcats (2-6) and Hatters (2-4) were scheduled for a 6 p.m. first pitch at Jackie Robinson Ballpark, but incessant rain beginning this morning prevented the first of two cross-county matchups this season. The teams are exploring possible makeup dates for the game, but no information is available at this time.
B-CU returns to action on Wednesday at 6 p.m. versus UCF at Jackie Robinson Ballpark before opening a three game Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) series with Florida A&M, beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
