Delaware State University pitcher Jordan Elliott (Lincoln, Del.) has been named to the 2012 American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings All-East Region First Team.

Elliott led all Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) pitchers with a DSU record-tying 10 wins during the 2012 season (10-2). He was also eighth in the league in earned run average (2.92) and strikeouts (65) this past season.

A 2012 All-MEAC First Team selection, Elliott was also tied for the league lead with two shutouts last season.

Elliott helped lead Delaware State to the 2012 MEAC North title and an appearance in the league tournament championship game.

The 2012 Hornets also tied a team record with 40 wins this past season (40-17-1).

This marks the second straight year that a Delaware State player has earned ABCA/Rawlings All-East Region recognition. Hornet second baseman Scott Davis was a 2011 first team selection.
