NORFOLK, Va., May 7, 2012- North Carolina Central sophomore Carter Williamson earned Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week honors in baseball, the conference announced on Monday. Bethune-Cookman's Montana Durapau was named the Pitcher of the Week, while Brandon Wilkerson of North Carolina A&T earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Williamson (C, 5-11, So., Roanoke,Va.) batted .400 with two runs and three RBI in three Eagle victories last week. He also tallied three assists and added seven putouts defensively. In the second game of the series against Florida A&M Williamson was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
Montana Durapau (B-CU) was 1-1 last week with a combined 1.00 ERA against FIU and Miami. Durapau held FIU to seven hits, while walking one and striking out four. Against #19 Miami, he did not allow a hit and struck out four batters in three innings of action.
Wilkerson (DH, 5-8, Fr., Charlotte, Va.) tallied a triple and three RBI in five games last week. The rookie was 5-for-7 in a doubleheader against Savannah State to aid the Aggies to two wins.

Cameron Day (NSU) hit his first career home run along with a double in a 9-1 win against Maryland Eastern Shore.
Gavin Guarerra (NCCU) earned his sixth save of the year against Florida A&M last week.
Jeffrey Fleetwood (UMES) was 2-for-3 with two RBI in a 3-2 win over Norfolk State.
Jacob Foreman (UMES) struck out six and allowed just two hits in a victory against Norfolk State.
Ryan Haas (DSU) was 3-for 5 with one double and five RBI in a 27-0 win against Coppin State.
Chris Horne (NSU) was 1-1 last week with a 1.13 ERA in 16.0 innings for the Spartans.
Joshua James (UMES) posted two RBI in three games last week.
Matt McClain (DSU) earned the victory with a 0.00 ERA including five strikeouts against Coppin State.
Andre McCoy (NCAT) posted a home run, one double and four RBI in five Aggie games.
Brent Moore (NCAT) struck out a season high eight batters with a 0.00 ERA in a loss to Savannah State.
Michael Romano (NCCU) earned the 4-3 victory over Florida A&M allowing three runs and striking out three batters.
