Hornets Fall Short At Lehigh 3-2
Bethlehem, Pa. (Apr. 4, 2012) --- Delaware State brought the tying run to the plate in the ninth inning, but fell short to Lehigh 3-2 at Goodman Field this afternoon.
The Hornets trailed 3-1 entering the ninth. Troy Drummond led off the inning with a double. He advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Scott Davis, and scored on a ground out by Cameron Cecil to pull DSU to within a run. Lehigh reliever Cory Kent struck out the next batter, Ryan Haas, to end the game.
Haas (1-1), the Hornets' starting pitcher, went seven strong innings. He allowed six hits and two runs, while striking out six and walking one.
Drummond and catcher Eddie Sorondo had two hits each for the Hornets, who out hit the Mountain Hawks 9-7.
Delaware State has dropped its last three games to fall to 15-13-1. Lehigh improved to 10-19-1.

North Carolina A&T Defeats High Point 7-5
HIGH POINT- The North Carolina A&T was able to put down the High Point Panthers 7-5 on Wednesday evening Coy O. Williard Stadium. It was their third straight win-the longest winning streak they have posted this season.
The Aggies (10-18) tallied 15 hits off seven HPU (20-12) pitchers, including four-hit games from Marquis Riley and Michael Radford. Sophomore Luke Tendler also homered in the contest.
Torrellas tossed 6.0 innings and allowed three runs (two earned) on five hits for his first victory of the season.
