UCF Blasts Rattlers, 16-4
ORLANDO, Fla. (April 10)-Central Florida scored eight runs in the bottom of the seventh inning as they defeated the Florida A&M Baseball team, 16-4, Tuesday afternoon at Jay Bergman Field.
UCF finished the contest with a game high 20 hits with six of the them being for doubles as James Vasquez tallied three hits in four at-bats to lead the Knights from the plate.
The Rattlers finished with five hits as John Scott collected two hits in two at-bats to lead the Rattlers.
Ben Lively (5-0) got the win for UCF as he pitched three scoreless innings in relief, while Christopher Priestly (0-4) received the loss for FAMU as he gave up five hits, two earned runs and striking out one in four innings on the mound.

Wildcats Use Smart Play to Capitalize in 4-2 North Florida Win
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Wildcats showed that they came to play in the multi-date series finale at North Florida on Tuesday night, and were able to take advantage of Osprey pitching miscues for the early lead, en route to a 4-2 victory. B-CU put up runs when needed and held their own on the mound to claim the series at 2-1.
Both starting pitchers settled in after the opening frame and the Wildcats maintained a 3-0 lead into the fourth, when UNF right fielder Tyler Marincov broke up the shutout with a two-run homer to left field, narrowing the B-CU advantage to just a single run.
The Wildcats put up another timely run to extend the lead in the seventh as B-CU capitalized on Jairo Acevedo reaching as a hit batter, with Josh Johnson's RBI single to right expanding the lead to 4-2.
With five straight innings of solid defense and pitching, the Wildcats blanked UNF through the final frame, allowing just three hits in the final five innings.
Starter Montana Durapau (2-4) made his second start against North Florida at Harmon Field, throwing 7.1 quality innings for the win, allowing two runs on four hits with five strikeouts.
