Lee Aside, Wildcat Offense Lacks Extra Bases in 6-2 FIU Loss
MIAMI, Fla. - A key hitting effort from junior right fielder David Lee kept the Wildcats in the game with FIU, but it proved to not be enough offense in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Panthers.
The FIU Panthers scored five of their six runs on three big hits, a home run in the second, a two-run double in the third, and a two-run triple in the fifth.
Meanwhile, the Wildcats were getting hits throughout the game, with a team total of eight, but were struggling to get runners advanced into scoring position. It was the sixth inning before B-CU advanced a runner beyond second base.
