Troy Downs Rattlers, 12-2
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (May 10) - Troy University scored in every inning except for the fourth inning as handed the Florida A&M a 12-2 loss, Tuesday evening at Moore-Kittles Field.
TU (35-14) finished with game high 12 hits, while FAMU (17-36) tallied eight.
Tobi Adeyemi led the Rattlers from the plate as collected three hits in four at-bats, while Tyler Hannah garnered three hits to lead the Trojans.
TU used seven pitchers as William Teal (3-0) picked up the win for the Trojans as he gave up two hits and earned run in one inning of work.
Thomas Barwick (4-5) received the loss for the Rattlers as he gave up six hits, six earned runs and striking out two in six innings of work.
TU jumped out to 1-0 lead in the top of the first as Tyson Workman scored on a FAMU infielder's error.
FAMU regained the lead in the bottom of the first as both Adeyemi and Antonio Kilpatrick scored on Cory Franklin single to the left side, giving the Rattlers a 2-1 lead.
In the top of the second inning, TU would plate three more runs to take 4-2 lead as both Jacob Dixon and Logan Pierce scored on a Daniel Peterson double to right field. Peterson would then score on a Tyler Hannah single.
The Trojans would scored seven more runs as the picked up a run in the third, a run in the fifth, one run in the sixth, one run in the seventh and four runs in the eighth for the 12-2.

UMES Falls At George Washington, 7-3
ARLINGTON, Va. - Luis Mena hit 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI but Maryland Eastern Shore fell to George Washington in its regular-season finale at Barcroft Park on Tuesday.
UMES (8-39) held a 2-0 lead through four in a half innings, but George Washington (15-33) scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth and didn't look back.
Owen Beightol and Brendan Kelliher each had three hits, while Kyle Gelling had a two-run home run for GW.
The Hawks got on the board with consecutive doubles down the left-field line by Tre-von Johnson and Mena. After a passed ball moved Mena to third, Elliott Alston found a hole on the left side of the infield to push the lead to two.
George Washington took the lead with four in the bottom of the fifth. With one out Justin Albright hit a single to shortstop and stole second and third bases, coming in when Brookes Townsend doubled down the left-field line. Beightol followed with an RBI single through the right side before Gelling lined a home run over the right-field fence.
UMES got a run back in the top of the sixth inning off pitcher Ryan Heinz in relief of starter Aaron Weisberg. Alston and Lorenzo Christy drew back-to-back two-out walks and Nick Wiggins ripped a single through the left side to make it 4-3.
Stephen Oswald hit a sacrifice fly to left field to score Gelling and restore the Colonials' two run lead at 5-3 in the bottom of the seventh. Gelling walked and advanced to on Kelliher's ground-rule double.
George Washington added two more to the lead to 7-3 in the eighth when Tyler McCarthy and Albright scored off a hit and an error.
Weisberg (2-3) earned the win on the mound for the Colonials in five innings. He allowed four hits and two runs with four strikeouts and no walks. Zachary Saca took the loss for UMES in 5.1 innings.

Bethune-Cookman Falls to Jacksonville, 7-6
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - B-CU broke out in front twice with big plays, but Jacksonville put up the extra run in the final frame to take the win, 7-6 on Tuesday night.
Ryan Durrence put the Wildcats on the board early with an RBI double to deep left center, sending Matt Wright home for the initial run in the first. The Wildcats followed up in the bottom half with a big play, as Nick Johnson snagged a high chopper at first and ran down the runner with Alejandro Sanchez' assistance, while keeping the lead runner locked at third for no runs, setting the tone defensively for the Wildcats.
Early in the fourth, DJ Leonard put a double to the wall, but quickly advanced to third as the pitcher overthrew a pickoff attempt, setting up N. Johnson for an RBI single to shallow left field.
Matt Wright led off the fifth with a solid double to left center, Peter O'Brien followed up with a single through the left side to put runners at the corners, giving B-CU the chance for a double steal opportunity, on which Wright scored to extend the lead to three.
The Wildcats held JU to no runs through the first four, but in the bottom of the fifth, the Dolphins made up some ground, scoring two runs on a hard shot slipped through the right side with two outs, and followed it up with two RBI singles first to tie it and then move ahead one run.
Wright put a double back out to the same left center location to lead off the seventh, later scoring from third with his speed on a passed ball to knot up the game.
Coming in as a pinch hitter with runners at the corners and two outs in the eighth, Paul Biocic converted on a shot to shallow left field with a 2-2 count for a two RBI double, putting the Wildcats back on top by two runs late.
JU countered with a line drive RBI single to left center to trim the Wildcat lead and then tie it up on the final out of the eighth inning.
Unable to move ahead in the top of the ninth, the Wildcats went to the closing pitchers to extend the game, but JU was able to pick up the final run to claim the win, 7-6, in the bottom of the ninth.
