NSU blew a five-run lead in the top of the seventh, only to rally with four runs to win a dramatic opener 13-12, then cruised to an 8-2 win in game 2 to sweep a non-conference doubleheader on Saturday.
Leading 9-4, the Spartans (15-18) gave up eight runs in the top of the seventh in game 1, but rallied with four in the bottom of the inning to win it. Chris Joyce's two-run single tied it, and Jerrod Farley's two-out, RBI single was the walk-off hit.
In game 2, Chase Davenport pitched his second complete game of the season, allowing just two unearned runs over seven innings. Cam Parsons had a career-high three RBI and Pat Hall two in the nightcap.
John Lynch, Chris Joyce and Jermaine Berry each had four hits on the day for the Spartans, who tallied 30 hits on the day. Farley and TiQuan Griffin had three apiece.
The teams play a single game starting at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
