Central Junior right hander Quinn Bright fanned a career-high 10 batters in pitching all seven innings, and every Spartan starter had at least one hit as Norfolk State downed North Carolina Central 14-1 on Saturday afternoon in the HBCU Baseball Classic at Savannah State's Tiger Field.The game was called after seven innings due to the run rule.Bright allowed one run on three hits. Brandon Hairston and Anselmo Cantu had three hits each, John Lynch, Jerrod Farley (Chester, Va.) and Juan Herrera had two apiece, and Herrera drove in a career-high five runs. Chris Joyce knocked in three.NSU plays host Savannah State in a doubleheader starting at noon on Sunday.
