NORFOLK, Va., Apr. 27, 2026 – Morgan State junior Millie Cousins has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Softball Player of the Week.  Norfolk State’s Samantha Stevenson earned Rookie of the Week honors. Delaware State’s Kristin White was recognized as the Pitcher of the Week.
  
Cousins (Jr, P/2B, Sydney, Australia.) delivered a dominant two-way performance, batting .666 (10-for-15) with eight RBIs, eight runs scored, and three extra-base hits, including a home run. In the circle, she went 2–0 over 14.2 innings pitched, recording seven strikeouts for the Bears. 

Stevenson (Fr., P, Tustin, Calif.) posted a complete-game effort in the circle, allowing just two earned runs on eight hits over 7.0 innings while striking out two in a 3–2 victory over Howard. 
White (Jr., P, Crofton, Md.) tossed a complete-game shutout in the victory over UMES, allowing just two hits over 5.0 innings while striking out six. She posted a 0.00 ERA and earned the win in her lone appearance of the week.

• Daiyah Bailey (NCCU) batted .533 on the week with four RBI for the Eagles. 
• Karly Cain (DSU) hit .400 on the week across three games. 
• Mia De La Fuente (NCCU) recorded six hits on the week and three-RBI against South Carolina State. 
• Aiko Conaway (HOW) tallied a 2.86 ERA in game one against Norfolk State. 
• Dallas Hill (SCSU) went 5-for-9 with a home run, four RBIs, and four walks against NC Central 
• Maryn Jordan (HOW) hit .385 (5-for-13) with two RBI on the week for the Bison. 
• Aaryn Krebs (SCSU) tossed 11.0 innings with 10 strikeouts in the series win over North Carolina Central. 
• Amirah Lenon (HOW) crossed the plate twice for the Bison while also swiping two bases, finishing the week 2-for-4 at the plate. 
• Maddy Morris (NSU) tossed 6.1 innings with two strikeouts for the Spartans.  
• Chloe Weber (UMES) threw a complete game against Delaware State, allowing just one earned run over 7.0 innings.
