MEAC Announces Weekly Softball Honors

NORFOLK, Va., Apr. 13, 2026 – Howard senior Maryn Jordan has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Softball Player of the Week. Fellow Bison teammates Amirah Lenon and Aiko Conaway were named Rookie and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.    

Jordan (Sr, OF, San Diego, Calif.) hit .667 with five RBI, four runs scored, three stolen bases, and a .900 slugging percentage to lead Howard to a series sweep of Morgan State. 

Lenon (Fr., OF/IF, Chander, Ariz.) posted a .556 batting average with four stolen bases and a 1.111 OPS, helping Howard secure a 3-0 series win over Morgan State. 

Conaway (So., P, Haymarket, Va.) went 2-0 on the week with a 0.00 ERA, allowing just 1 hit and striking out 3 while holding opposing hitters to a .042 average against Morgan State.

  • Kailey Bryant (NSU) hit .545 with two doubles, one triple, and three RBI while also pitching 6.2 innings with three strikeouts against Coppin State. 
  • Yasmin Burrell (CSU) went 2-for-2 with a home run, double, and three RBI to lead the Eagles to a 4-3 win over Norfo`lk State. 
  • Debra Hyde (CSU) tossed a one-hit complete game shutout against Norfolk State. 
  • Sereno Leslie (CSU) went 5-for-7 at the plate with four runs and seven RBI against Norfolk State. 
  • Mianna Lopez Del Haro (DSU) hit .556 with three RBI across three wins for Delaware State. 
  • Kinsey Mentzer (UMES) recorded four RBI and added a double over the weekend against South Carolina State. 
  • Dymond Round (SCSU) went 2-0 over 11.0 innings pitched, allowing just two earned runs against Maryland Eastern Shore. 
  • Skylar Skinner (UMES) went 2-for-5 with one double against South Carolina State. 
  • Chloe Weber (UMES) pitched a complete-game shutout in a 2-0 win over South Carolina State, allowing eight hits while striking out four.  
  • Cassie White (MSU) hit .600 (6-for-10) with one RBI and two stolen bases against Howard. 
  • Kristin White (DSU) earned a complete-game win, allowing one run on seven hits over seven innings against North Carolina Central.
