MEAC Announces Weekly Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Honors

NORFOLK, Va., Apr. 15, 2026 --Morgan State junior Jatavia Robinson was named Women's Track Athlete of the Week, while teammate Brylan Carter earned Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors. 
 
Robinson (Jr., Milwauke, Wis.) posted a personal-best 24.01 in the 200 meters at the Duke Invitational, finishing sixth overall, a mark that ranks No. 6 in the MEAC, while also contributing to Morgan State’s 4x100m relay team that clocked in at 46.45. 
 
Carter (Sr., Altadena, Calif.) placed 14th overall with a season-best throw of 38.01 meters, a mark that currently ranks No. 1 in the MEAC. She also recorded a 47.53-meter hammer throw at the Duke Invitational. 
Other Top Performers 
  • Temi Banwo (HOW) finished runner-up in the hammer throw at the Bison Classic, recording a throw of 47.46 meters. 
  • Mileah Cotton (DSU) captured first place in the 1500 meters run with a winning time of 4:53.86 at the Delaware Invitational. 
  • Naomi Johnson (SCSU) set a personal best long jump of 6.17 meters, while also recording a personal-best 12.31 in the 100m at the South Florida Invitational. 
  • Brooklyn Robinson (NSU) placed third in the 100 meters hurdles final at the Duke Invitational, clocking 13.27. 
  • Mariah Winfield (DSU) captured first place in the long jump at the Delaware Invitational with a mark of 5.43 meters. 
  • TyQwasia Williams (SCSU) clocked 1:00.16 in the 400 meters hurdles at the South Floridia Invitational.
