Commissioner Sonja Stills Receives Community Impact Award

Orangeburg, SC — Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Commissioner Sonja Stills was honored with a Community Impact Award during the PAWS UP Claflin University Boots and Blazers Brunch, held Saturday, February 7.

In addition to Commissioner Stills, Charlene Johnson, former South Carolina State University Director of Athletics and current Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics at Voorhees University, and Bessie Byrd, a retired educator and proud Claflin alumna, were also recognized for their impactful service and contributions to education, leadership, and community empowerment.

Commissioner Stills was recognized for her outstanding contributions to collegiate athletics and her continued dedication to leadership, empowerment, and community advancement. Her work has inspired countless student-athletes, administrators, and professionals, reflecting a commitment to excellence that extends well beyond competition.
