Women’s Tennis Falls on the Road at James Madison

HARRISONBURG, Va. (February 13, 2026) – Howard University women's tennis team fell on the road at James Madison (JMU), 4-0.
 
In doubles competition, JMU (2-4) won a pair of matches to take the early 1-0 match lead.
 
Junior Dana Hall (Miami) and rookie Franchesca Brown (Atlanta) served as the squad's top doubles team where they saw their match unfinished before singles play.
 
In singles play, third-year Bison Imani Jean (Brooklyn, N.Y.) represented Bison Nation as club's No. 1 singles player. The New York battled but fell to JMU's Daria Munteanu in straight sets (3-6, 3-6).
 
James Madison won two more singles contests to win the match, 4-0.
 
Saturday (Feb. 14), HU (0-3) heads to Williamsburg, VA to play William & Mary at 1 p.m.
