NORFOLK, VA-- South Carolina State, the reigning MEAC women's tennis champions, has been named the preseason favorite to win the MEAC regular season.
All awards were voted on by the conference's head coaches and sports information directors.
South Carolina State secured the top spot in the preseason poll with 78 points. North Carolina Central followed closely in second place with 75 points, while Howard was projected to finish third with 53 points. Delaware State claimed fourth with 52 points, and Morgan State rounded out the top five with 49 points. Norfolk State placed sixth after earning 43 points, while Coppin State completed the preseason rankings with 14 points.
