NORFOLK, Va., Jan. 14, 2026-- Coppin State senior Cole Schlotterbeck was selected as Men's Track Athlete of the Week while Delaware State senior Christopher Johnson earned Men's Field Athlete of the Week honors.       
 
Schlotterbeck (Sr., Hagerstown, Md.) won the 200-meter dash at the VCU Rams Invitational with a MEAC-leading time of 21.08 seconds, ranking 9th nationally, and set a personal-best 6.81 seconds to place fifth in the 60-meter dash. 
 
Johnson (Sr., Willingboro, NJ) claimed gold in the shot put at the Penn State Select with a MEAC-best toss of 16.26 meters and added a fourth-place finish in the weight throw with a MEAC-best mark of 16.24 meters. 
  

Other Top Performers 

• Drew Dillard (HOW) placed second in the 60m hurdles at the Rod McCravy Invitational, clocking 7.91 seconds, which ranks 23rd nationally. 

• Andie Kollie (UMES) finished third in the 200m at the VCU Invitational with a time of 21.38 seconds. 

• Kesean-Jordan Rhooms (MSU) earned third in the triple jump with a mark of 14.07m while clearing 1.91m in the high jump. 

• Lekan Sotonwa (DSU) finished third in the 3000m run with a time of 8:32.95. 

• Doyin Smith (MSU) ran a personal-best 6.88 seconds to place third in the 60m. 

• Sean Williams (CSU) finished fourth in the high jump at the VCU Rams Invitational, clearing 1.99m.
