NCCU Track & Field Trio Scores CSC Academic All-District Recognition

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Three Eagles from the North Carolina Central men's and women's track and field teams have earned 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honors, announced Tuesday afternoon.

To qualify for the award, student-athletes must be at least sophomores and maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher. Track and field nominees must also finish among the top 50 performers in their region in at least one indoor or outdoor event.

Julian Williams (Willingboro, N.J.) garnered rankings in the Southeast region in the shot put during the indoor and outdoor season. The sophomore thrower finished 22nd on the indoor performance list with a throw of 16.53m at the Visit Winston-Salem College Kick-off in December.

During the outdoor season, Williams captured a bronze medal in the shot put at the 2026 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Outdoor Track & Field Championships with a mark of 15.86m, finishing 34th in the Southeast Region rankings.

Tia Lucas (James Island, S.C.) closed her senior season out with two top ten regional rankings. Lucas ranked third in the Southeast Region during the indoor season after clearing 1.75m at the MEAC Indoor Championships, earning the first of her two conference titles this season.

Lucas followed with a seventh-place regional ranking outdoors after clearing a season-best 1.76m at the Dani Palooza Last Chance Meet, securing a berth to the NCAA East First Round for the second consecutive season.

T'Sheylah Moore (Charlotte, N.C.) also appeared in the Southeast Region rankings in the 400m dash. Moore ranked 50th during the indoor season after posting a time of 55.86 seconds at the MEAC Indoor Championships.

The junior sprinter improved to 45th in the outdoor regional rankings with a season-best time of 54.68 seconds at the Aggie Invitational. Later in the season, Moore earned a bronze medal in the 400m dash at the MEAC Outdoor Championships.
