Norfolk State guard Anthony McComb III was named Player of the Week, Delaware State forward Miles Webb earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, and Norfolk State forward Adrean Newton was selected as Rookie of the Week. McComb III (G, 6-3, 180, Sr., Dayton, Ohio) scored a game-high 23 points to lead Norfolk State to a two-point conference victory over Delaware State. He shot an impressive 88 percent from the field (7-of-8), including 75 percent from beyond the arc (3-of-4), and connected on 6-of-8 attempts from the free-throw line. McComb III also contributed three rebounds, two assists, and two steals while logging 37 minutes of action. Webb (F, 6-8, Sr., Arlington, Va.) recorded 10 rebounds and two steals in a hard-fought contest against Norfolk State. Offensively, he posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, shot 50 percent from the field, and added two assists. Newton (G, 6-0, 165, Fr., Norfolk, Va.) delivered the game-winning layup in the final seconds to lift Norfolk State to a two-point victory over Delaware State. He played 29 minutes and finished with four points, four assists, two rebounds, and one steal to help secure the conference win. Other Top Performers Elijah Davis (Morgan State) led the Bears to a win over South Carolina State with 18 points, six assists, three rebounds, and two steals. Khali Horton (Coppin State) scored 15 points, adding five rebounds, four assists, and one steal against N.C. Central. Keyontae Lewis (Norfolk State) recorded 18 points on 8-of-10 shooting, along with five rebounds, two assists, and one block versus Delaware State. Ponce James (Delaware State) totaled 22 points, two rebounds, five assists, and four steals against Norfolk State. Jae Slack (N.C. Central) finished with 18 points, five rebounds, three assists, and one steal in a win over Coppin State. Travelle Bryson (Howard) scored a team-high 18 points, collected eight rebounds, and added two steals against Maryland Eastern Shore. Michael Teal (Maryland Eastern Shore) posted 11 points, six assists, one rebound, and one steal in a win over Howard.
