ELON, N.C. – North Carolina Central concluded a seven-match road swing with a three-set loss (14-25, 22-25, 18-15) to Elon at the Schar Center on Wednesday, Sept. 24.

Kamren Harper finished with eight kills and Makenzi Searcy added six kills for the Eagles, who have played 10 of their 11 matches on the road. They fell to 3-8 overall entering MEAC play on Friday.

Despite the road stretch, the 2025 Eagles have set a program mark with three non-conference volleyball wins - the most in a single season since NCCU joined the MEAC as a full member in 2011. They still have matches remaining against non-conference opponents Charleston Southern and Gardner-Webb later in the season.

Manuela Cripa Nasser contributed 22 assists and Loren Johnson added nine digs and three service aces. Harper and Searcy chipped in eight digs and six digs, respectively.

The rally included blocks from Tayah Little and Megan Disu and a service ace from Harper. The score was tied twice at 21-21 and 22-22 before Elon scored the last three points for the second-set win.
  • The Eagles led 6-2 in the third set but eventually fell 25-18 for the match.
