ORANGEBURG, SC—Senior guard a Shaunice Reed tossed in a team-high 17 points, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State dropped a tough 64-58 loss in overtime to host UNC Asheville inside Kimmel Arena. 
 
South Carolina State falls to 2-7 overall, while UNC Asheville improves to 3-5 on the year. 
 
Janiah Hinton chipped in nine (9) points, while Jhaven Meade finished with eight (8) points and five (5) rebounds. Mya Byrd added and Feliah Greer each added seven (7) points respectively in the loss, While Greer added seven (7) rebounds as well.
