NORFOLK, Va., December 1, 2025 - Maryland Eastern Shore’s Ashanti Lynch was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week, presented by Wells Fargo.
Fellow Hawk Desi Taylor was named Rookie of the Week, while
Coppin State forward Sydney Burris earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, respectively.
Lynch (G, 5-9, Sr., Hookerton, Nc.) delivered a career-high 27 points in a 67–59 win at Mount St. Mary’s, adding five rebounds, three assists and two steals while shooting 71.4 percent from the floor. She followed with 13 points, four rebounds and two assists in 23 minutes against ACC opponent Virginia. Across the two contests, Lynch totaled 40 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals in a 1–1 week for the Hawks.
Taylor (Fr., 5-7, F., Atlanta, Ga.) contributed nine points, including three three-pointers, along with three rebounds, four assists and two steals in the Hawks’ 67–59 win over Mount St. Mary’s. In the loss at Virginia, she added six points on two more three-pointers and recorded her second block of the season. On the week, Taylor averaged 7.5 points and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 50 percent from the floor and 70 percent from three-point range.
Burris (Sr, 6-0, F., Milwaukee, Wi.) posted a double-double with a career-high 14 rebounds and 11 points, along with two steals, in a 77–56 loss to Missouri State. She also added seven rebounds and a steal against No. 8 Oklahoma. Across the two games, Burris tallied 21 rebounds, 15 points and three steals.

- Nile Miller (HOW) recorded six steals and a block in a 0–2 week for the Bison.
- Zennia Thomas (HOW) totaled 36 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and two steals through two games.
- Maya Woodson (MSU) averaged 5.6 rebounds per game in three Puerto Rico Shootout contests, totaling 17 rebounds for the weekend.
