Dover - Newly appointed Head Women's basketball coach, Khadijah Rushdan, has made four additions to her coaching staff.

The staff features experienced coaches across all divisions, along with one coach returning, as Delaware State continues its push for sustained success in the MEAC.

Among the additions are Alishia Mosley, Skyler Delgado, Lou Hamilton, and Cherelle Dennis.

Alishia Mosley enters her first season at Delaware State University as an assistant coach with the Hornets' women's basketball staff. Mosley comes to DSU after establishing herself as a rising leader in collegiate athletics through coaching, administration, player development, and program rebuilding.

"I am incredibly grateful to Coach Rushdan for this opportunity and for the confidence she has shown in me. To work alongside a Delaware basketball legend as she returns home is both humbling and exciting. I believe wholeheartedly in her vision for this program and the culture she is building. I'm honored to support her as we work to rewrite the program's legacy, restore a winning tradition, and create something that our student-athletes, alumni, and community can be proud of for years to come," Mosley said

"Alishia's background as both a head coach and an administrator gives her a well-rounded lens that immediately elevates our program. Having attended and worked within an HBCU environment, she brings a deep appreciation for culture, student-athlete experience, and program building with purpose. Her perspective brings valuable insight and intentionality that immediately raises the standard. I am thrilled to welcome Alishia to Hornet Nation." Rushdan said.

Skyler Delgado enters his first season at Delaware State University as an assistant coach with the Hornets' women's basketball staff. He joins DSU after gaining experience across Division I, Division III, and NJCAA levels, bringing a strong background in player development, recruiting, and film-driven teaching.

"I'm extremely grateful to Coach KD for the opportunity to join the Delaware State women's basketball program. I believe fully in her vision for where this program is headed, and I'm excited to get to work and help bring that vision to life," Delgado said.

Skyler is a rising star in our profession. He possesses an exceptional basketball mind, a tremendous work ethic, and the ability to contribute to every facet of our program. Whether it's player development, recruiting, graphics, or simply relationship building, his attention to detail and proactiveness immediately sets him apart. I'm thrilled to welcome Skyler to Hornet Nation," Rushdan said.

Lou Hamilton enters his first season at Delaware State University as an assistant coach with the Hornets' women's basketball staff.

Well respected in the coaching profession, Hamilton brings 14 years of NCAA experience to the Hornets program. Hamilton will join a dynamic staff led by head coach Khadijah Rushdan. Hamilton's extensive experience in the MEAC conference will undoubtedly play major dividends for Coach Rushdan's program.

"Lou brings a wealth of experience, knowledge, and leadership to our program. His previous head coaching experience, combined with his familiarity in the MEAC and understanding of what it takes to build and sustain success in this league, will be invaluable to our staff and student-athletes. Lou has already made an immediate impact through his work ethic, insight, and ability to connect with people. I am thrilled to welcome Lou to Hornet Nation," Rushdan said

Cherelle Dennis returns to Delaware State University as an Assistant Coach and Director of Operations. Dennis previously spent three seasons with the Hornets from 2022-25, where she played an integral role in player development, recruiting, program operations, and student-athlete success. During her first stint at Delaware State, she helped develop several All-Conference players, including Savannah Brooks (MEAC All-Rookie Team, 2023-24), Ericka Huggins (MEAC All-Rookie Team, 2024-25), Ja'naiah Perkins Jackson (2023-24 All-MEAC), and Kiarra McElrath (All-MEAC Third Team, 2024-25)

Her vision, leadership, and commitment to restoring a winning culture played a pivotal role in my decision to return. I wholeheartedly believe in what we are building and look forward to helping bring renewed energy, success, and excitement back to Delaware State Women's Basketball," Dennis said.

"Cherelle brings a wealth of experience and returns to DSU already making an immediate impact. I have known Cherelle for years, and she consistently builds genuine and meaningful relationships. She embodies the culture we want every day through her energy, competitive spirit,  and commitment to not only this program but also our student-athletes. I am thrilled to welcome Cherelle back to DSU," Rushdan said.
