MONTGOMERY, AL—Three Lady Bulldogs scored double figures with Shaunice Reed leading the way with a team-high 14 points and
grabbed four (4) rebounds, but it wasn't enough as South Carolina State dropped an 59-56 decision to Alabama State Friday (Dec.12) inside Dunn-Oliver Acadome.
South Carolina State falls to 3-9 overall, while Alabama State improves to 3-6 on the season.
Angie Juste-Jean and Iemyiah Harris each added 13 points respectively along with Juste-Jean grabbing five (5) rebounds and five (5) steals in the loss.
Despite the loss, the Lady Bulldogs led in several categories including points off turnovers (23-16) and fast break points (20-6).
NEXT UP: South Carolina State return to action on Sunday (Dec.14) in Oxford, Mississippi in a non-conference battle with Ole Miss. Tipoff is 2:00 PM (CST) and 3:00 PM (EST)
