NORFOLK, Va., Nov. 15, 2025 – The field is officially set for the 2025 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Volleyball Championship, scheduled for Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 20-22, at the Physical Education Complex on the campus of Coppin State University.
Coppin State secured the No. 1 seed on Nov. 9 with a 3-2 win over Delaware State, finishing 13-1 in conference play and 20-11 overall.
Howard earned the No. 2 seed after going 10-4 in MEAC play and closing the regular season with a straight-sets victory over Norfolk State. The Bison enters the postseason seeking their first title since 2022 after back-to-back runner-up finishes in 2023 and 2024.
Morgan State claimed the No. 3 seed with an 8-6 conference record despite falling 3-0 at Coppin State in its regular-season finale. The Bears look to capture their first MEAC Volleyball Championship since 2000.
Following conference tiebreaking procedures, Delaware State secured the No. 4 seed, North Carolina Central earned the No. 5 seed, and Maryland Eastern Shore locked in the No. 6 seed.
Norfolk State (5-23, 3-11 MEAC) will enter the tournament as the No. 7 seed, gaining momentum late in the season by winning three of its final four matches. South Carolina State rounds out the field as the No. 8 seed at 1-13 in league play.
Quarterfinal action begins Thursday with No. 4 Delaware State vs. No. 5 North Carolina Central at 11 a.m., followed by top-seeded Coppin State vs. No. 8 South Carolina State at 2 p.m. No. 2 Howard meets No. 7 Norfolk State at 5 p.m., and No. 3 Morgan State faces No. 6 Maryland Eastern Shore at 8 p.m.
Semifinal matches are scheduled for Friday at 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., with the championship match set for Saturday at 5 p.m.
All games will stream live on ESPN+.
Tickets will be available online and on-site at the Physical Education Complex. Weekend passes are $25, and single-day admission is $10.
