NORFOLK, Va., –
North Carolina Central quarterback Walker Harris has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced today.
South Carolina State’s Jordan Franklin earned Defensive Player of the Week honors, while
Morgan State’s Raymond Moore II was selected as the Rookie of the Week.
N.C. Central’s Ja’Quan Sprinkle received Offensive Lineman of the Week accolades, and
Norfolk State’s Noah Tracey was recognized as the Specialist of the Week.
Walker Harris (QB, 6-1, 195, r-Sr., Wake Forest, N.C.) delivered another standout performance in the Eagles’ 45-7 victory over Florida A&M. The redshirt senior completed 21 of 27 passes (77.8%) for 278 yards and two touchdowns, connecting with eight different receivers. He also added 30 rushing yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Saturday marked Harris’s fourth game this season with over 250 passing yards and at least two touchdown passes, leading a balanced NCCU offense to 486 total yards.
Jordan Franklin (LB, 6-2, 205, r-So., Waynesboro, Ga.) anchored the Bulldogs’ defense in a hard-fought 22-16 win over North Carolina A&T. The redshirt sophomore was all over the field, tallying six tackles (four solo), 3.5 tackles for loss totaling 32 yards, and a sack for 25 yards. He also forced a fumble, recovered another, and added both an interception and a pass breakup.
Ja’Quan Sprinkle (OL, 6-3, 295, r-So., Orangeburg, S.C.) graded out at 97 percent with five pancake blocks, anchoring an NCCU offensive line that allowed no sacks in the win over Florida A&M. Behind his protection, Harris was efficient and poised, completing 77.8% of his passes, while the Eagles also produced a 100-yard rusher in Chris Mosley (131 yards). Sprinkle’s dominance in the trenches helped NCCU amass 486 yards of total offense.
Raymond Moore II (
QB, 6-4, 180, r-Fr., Baltimore, Md.) made an immediate impact for the Bears in his first career start. The redshirt freshman completed 13 of 22 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown, while adding 52 rushing yards and another score on seven carries.
Noah Tracey (
P/K, 6-1, 175, Jr., Springwood, Australia) recorded seven punts for 286 yards (40.9-yard average), including a booming 65-yarder. He landed two punts of 50+ yards and added two touchbacks, flipping the field effectively throughout the contest.

Brian Bates (Delaware State) collected seven solo tackles, five solo, with one tackle for a loss in the Hornets’ Homecoming victory over Southern Connecticut State.
Ben Chandler (Howard) recorded six tackles, three solo, including 0.5 tackles for loss, and a pass breakup against Sacred Heart.
Marquis Gillis (Delaware State) rushed for 130 yards on 9 carries and a touchdown against Southern Connecticut State.
Rodney Lesane (N.C. Central) finished with two catches for 15 yards and recorded his first career touchdown against Florida A&M.
Judah McJimpsey (Howard) recorded seven tackles, two solo, including 1.5 for a loss, and a fumble recovery for 10 yards against Sacred Heart.
Terique Miles (Norfolk State) registered 13 tackles including four solo against Wofford.
James Reddick II (S.C. State) finished with eight pancake blocks and recorded a 90-perencet grade on his blocking assignments we he helped the Bulldogs finish with 294 yards of total offense.
Anthony Reagan Jr. (Howard) carried the ball 17 times for 117 yards and one touchdown against Sacred Heart.
Kam’Ryn Thomas (Norfolk State) completed eight catches for 112 yards and a touchdown against Wofford.
Thomas Tyler (Morgan State) graded out at 85-perecent while helping Morgan State rack up 538 total yards of offense, including 354 rushing yards, against University of Lynchburg.
Jelani Vassell (N.C. Central) tallied eight tackles, six solo, and one interception against Florida A&M.
