NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk State freshman Festus Bett and Florida A&M junior Judith Kibii were selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Athletes of the Week, the conference announced today.

Bett (Fr., Nyahururu, Kenya) won the season-opener University of Virginia Duals, with a top time of 12:30, on the 4k course. His time helped the Spartans to a third-place finish at the event.

Kibii (Jr., Eldoret, Kenya) posted a time of 14:43.50 at the Jacksonville State Struts Cross Country Meet to finish sixth. Her time aided the Lady Rattlers to a fourth-place finish.
