PHILADELPHIA, PA --  Delaware State women's track & field team returned from Christmas break to compete at the Penn Select Meet at the Ott Center, against ten elite programs. The meet was highlighted by three top 10 finishes from Sanaa Virgil and Valerie Ashamu. 

RESULTS

Sanaa Virgil placed 6th in the Long Jump with a distance of 5.62m (18'5.25"). She also placed 7th in the Triple Jump for the Hornets with a distance of 11.54m (37'10.5").


Valerie Ashamu placed 8th in the High Jump reaching a height of 1.62m (5'3.75") to close out the meet for the Hornets. 


The Hornets will continue their indoor season next week in New York on January 16th at the Gotham Cup Invite.
