JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (May 31, 2025) – Howard University women's track & field program punched four entries to the NCAA Outdoor Championships after Saturday's thrilling quarterfinal round.
Graduates
Kailei Collins (Houston) and
Marcia Sey (London, United Kingdom), senior
Tiffani-Rae Pittman (Bowie, Md.) and sophomore
Aiyana Gray-Williams (Winston-Salem, N.C.) represented Bison Nation in the 4x100 relay, earning a spot to Eugene with an AQ time of 43.86 (season best).
Individually, Sey earned her ticket with an automatic qualifying mark of 12.99 in the 100-meter hurdles.
Collins secured her entry in the 100-meter dash, clocking in at a non-AQ time of 11.21. The Houston native also competed in the 200-meter dash but fell just short of making the next round.
Third-year Bison
Aniya Woodruff (Harrisburg, N.C.) grabbed her spot in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking in at a new personal best (56.12). Graduate
Ariana Smith (Pennsville, N.J.) and rookie
Cenaiya Billups (Denver) also took part but came up short in advancing to Eugene.
The 4x400 relay squad of Smith, Woodruff, junior
Kiya Lawson (Montclair, N.J.) and freshman
Lindsay Johnson (Detroit) wrapped up the week, falling short of moving on.
In the field, juniors
Kelis Armstrong (Plano, Texas) and
Jazmyn Wajd (Tampa, Fla.) competed in the triple jump, but unable to breakthrough to Eugene.
The 2025 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships will be held June 11-14 in Eugene, Ore.
