JACKSONVILLE, Fla. --- Norfolk State junior Brooklyn Robinson advanced to the quarterfinals in the 100-meter hurdles at the NCAA East Regional on Thursday afternoon.
After claiming the silver medal at the MEAC Championships in the 100-meter hurdles just a couple of weeks prior, Robinson competed as one of the 48 competitors in the first round on Thursday. She clocked a time of 13.22 to place fourth in her heat and claim a spot in Saturday's quarterfinals.
The Spartans will continue the meet on Friday, beginning with the triple jump at 2:30 p.m., featuring Kristopher Stephens and Jayden Gordon.
Tafari Bishop competes in the 400-meter hurdles quarterfinals at 7:25 p.m., before Kendrick Winfield takes on the 200 meters directly after the 400-meter hurdles. The Spartans will conclude the evening with the 4x400-meter relay at 8:45 p.m.
