EUGENE, Ore. (June 12, 2025) – Howard University men's track & field program concluded its outdoor season at the NCAA Championships Wednesday night in Eugene, Ore., hosted by the University of Oregon.

HU had two entries on the night, led by graduate Noah Langford (Virginia Beach, Va.). The Virginia Beach native competed in the 400-meter hurdles semifinal round where he came up short of advancing, posting a 50.50. He earned All-American Second Team despite not moving on, becoming the first men's long hurdler All-American since 1989 (John Branch).

Baylor's Nathaniel Ezekiel recorded the best 400-meter hurdles time in the semifinal round with a blazing 47.86 mark.

Langford, sophomore Emerson McKindra (Linden, N.J.) and freshmen Cameron Brazell (Houston) and Elijah Grant (Fort Mill, S.C.) concluded Day One with the 4x400 relay race, falling short of reaching the final round with a 3:08.92. The four Bison received USTFCCCA (U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) honorable mention.

Arkansas produced a leading 3:02.53 time in the 4x400 relay semifinal round, edging out USC (3:02.76).

Howard Director of Track & Field David Oliver wrapped up his eighth season with the men's track & field program, leading the squad to runner-up finishes during the indoor and outdoor seasons.

The program looks to build on this year's success as they look to compete for conference titles during the 2025-26 campaign.
