NORFOLK, Va., Apr. 30, 2025 — Delaware State junior Miriam Okwudibonye was named Women's Track Athlete of the Week, while Morgan State graduate student Tia Jackson earned Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Kwudibonye (Jr., Hamilton, NJ.) finished 11th in the 400m hurdles at the Penn Relays with a time of 59.22.
Jackson (Gr., Bristol, UK.) secured first place in the long jump with a distance of 6.12 meters at the Penn Relays.
Other Top Performers
- ·Jonysha Prucien(UMES) took third place in the triple jump at the Penn Relays with a personal-best leap of 12.27 meters.
- Kalyncia Taylor (NSU) anchored her team to first place finishes in both the 4x400 meter relay prelims and finals. She helped break a school record that has stood since 1994 with a time of 3:40.44.
- TyQwasia Williams(SCSU) ran 1:00.65 in the 400m hurdles to place fifth at the UCF Knights Invite.
