NORFOLK, Va., Feb. 5, 2025-- Howard junior Aniya Woodruff was selected as Women's Track Athlete of the Week, presented by Coca-Cola. Howard Junior Kelis Armstrong earned Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors.   

Woodruff (Jr., Harrisburg, N.C.) finished 11th in the 400-meter dash at the Bob Pollock Invite with a MEAC-best time of 54.83. 

Armstrong (Jr., Plano, Texas.) placed fifth in the long jump at the Bob Pollock Invite with a leap of 5.88 meters, ranking third in the league, and finished third in the triple jump with a MEAC-best 12.53 meters. 

Other Top Performers

• Brooklyn Robinson (NSU) finished second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.36 at the Penn State National Open. 

• Tyqwasia Williams (SCSU) finished sixth with a time of 59.14 in the 400m dash while also running the opening leg of her team’s sixth-place finish in the 4x400m relay. 

• Kennedy Spears (SCSU) finished seventh in the high jump with a leap of 1.58m.
