MEAC Set to Host 2025 Indoor Track & Field Championships

NORFOLK, Va., Feb. 21, 2025 – The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) will host the 2025 Indoor Track & Field Championships at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va., Sunday, February 23, and Monday, February 24. 

Monday’s action will be streamed live on ESPN+, beginning at 12 p.m. 

Tickets are available for purchase online through the Virginia Beach Sports Center and on-site throughout the event. Onsite cash sales will not be available. Single-day tickets are $18 for Sunday and Monday, while weekend passes are available for $25.

The Howard women’s team aims to secure their fourth consecutive Indoor Track & Field Championship. On the men’s side, the Norfolk State Spartans look to do the same, claiming their fourth consecutive title since 2022. 

Competition will get underway on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. with the start of the women’s pentathlon. On the first day of competition, the MEAC will award its first medals of the championship event, crowning champions in the Men’s and Women’s 3,000-meter runs, Women's weight throw, Men’s and Women’s long jump, Men’s pole vault, Men’s shot put, Men’s high jump, and the Men’s and Women’s DMR. 

The men’s heptathlon will kick off Championship Monday at 8:30 a.m., followed by the men’s weight throw at 10:00 a.m. and the women’s triple jump at 11:00 a.m. The day's action will conclude with the men’s and women’s 4x400-meter relay finals, set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
