freshman Jaymes Saunders was named Men's Field Athlete of the Week.
Betton (Sr., Jamaica) finished second in the heptathlon, scoring 5,114 points to shatter Brandon Miles’ old school-record of 4,389 from February 12, 2009. He closed the opening day by clearing 2.04m in the high jump, a height that ranks second in the MEAC this season. Betton placed third in the 1000m race with a time of 2:49.03, while claiming fourth place finishes in both the 60m dash (7.19) and 60m hurdle (8.48) events.
