Bison Punch Three Tickets to NCAAs in Austin
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Howard University women's track & field wrapped up the weekend at the NCAA East Regional on the campus of the University of North Florida, punching three entries to Austin, Texas for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Junior Darci Khan opened the evening, earning her spot to Austin in the 100-meter hurdles. The Georgia native ran an AQ time of 12.96.
All-American senior Jessica Wright punched her ticket back to the Big Stage, recording an automatic qualifying time of 57.40 in the 400-meter hurdles.
For the third consecutive year, a 4x400-meter relay squad will represent Howard at the national level. Wright, graduate Cathrina Morris, sophomore Tiffani-Rae Pittman and newcomer Aniya Woodruff secured the final spot with a 3:35.44 mark, edging out ACC member Clemson (3:35.98).

Delaware State's Glenn Falls Just Short in NCAA East Quarterfinals
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Delaware State's Catherine Glenn came up short in her bid to compete in the NCAA Division I outdoor women's 100-meter national championship semifinals after finishing 20th with a time of 13.37 seconds in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
The top 12 finishers advance to the next round in the national competition.

N.C. Central's Boddie, Victoria Compete in NCAA East Prelim
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- North Carolina Central jumpers, junior Joidon Boddie and freshman Lamont Victoria, competed in the 2023 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships East First Round on May 24-27 at Hodges Stadium in Jacksonville, Florida.
In the men's high jump, Victoria soared 1.99 meters to tie for 34th place out of 47 total competitors.
In the women's triple jump, Boddie leaped 12.60m to finish 30th out of 48 total participants.

Coppin State's Ali Finishes 16th at NCAA East
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Coppin State's Latifa Ali finished 16th in the 400-meter dash with a time of 53.82 at the NCAA East Preliminaries on Saturday night, hosted by University of North Florida at Hodges Stadium.
A junior from Kumasi, Ghana, Ali finished seventh in the first heat that featured the top three finishers in the event, and four of the top five.
