Howard Has Strong Weekend at Rod McCravy Invite
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The Howard University men's and women's track & field squads battled tough in their most challenging meet of the indoor season at the Rod McCravy Memorial Invitational, hosted by the University of Kentucky.
After a solid opening day, the Bison followed up with multiple standout individual performances.
Nnamdi Olebara broke the school's weight throw mark, tossing over 52 feet (15.97 meters).

Norfolk State Turns in Several Strong Performances at South Carolina
COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Trequan Barnes broke a 12-year old school record in the 300 meters to pace the Norfolk State men's track & field team over the weekend at the South Carolina Invitational.
Barnes clocked a time of 32.96 seconds in the 300 meters. He was the top collegiate finisher behind a pair of professional athletes. Barnes' time eclipsed Sean Holston's previous school standard of 33.36, set in 2010.
Barnes is now the indoor school record holder in the 300, 400 and 500-meter events.
For the women, Indya Richards won the long jump and Malika Pride set a new school record in the 300-meter dash. Richards smashed her PR in winning the long jump. Her best leap was 19 feet, 11.5 inches, the best in the MEAC and 34th ationally.
Pride was strong in both of her individual events. She was runner-up in the 300 meters in 38.48 seconds, which is a new school record according to available data. Pride also posted a season-best time in the 200, 24.14 seconds, in finishing seventh (fourth among collegians).

Delaware State Dominates at Eastern Shore
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- The Delaware State track & field teams dominated at the Eastern Shore Invitational hosted by Maryland Eastern Shore on Friday.
As a team, the men's side claimed victory with 172.50 points while the women secured second place with 122 points.

Bears Compete at Sykes & Sabock Invitational
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Morgan State University men's track & field team had a busy day Saturday, competing at the Sykes & Sabock Invitational hosted by Penn State inside Ashenfelter Indoor Track.
There were multiple solid performances from the Sykes & Sabock Invitational, including Kobe-Jordan Rhooms' performance in the triple jump. He cleared 14.78 meters, which earned him a third-place finish.
Emmanuel Ibeh finished eighth in the 200 with a time of 22.11 and also recorded a ninth-place finish in the 400 in a time of 49.54. Both times were personal bests.

Rust Off, Records Set at Eastern Shore Invite
PRINCESS ANNE, Md. -- It was a memorable day at the William P. Hytche Athletic Center in Princess Anne as the Maryland Eastern Shore track and field program hosted its first home meet in over two years on Friday (Jan 28).
The Hawk women took first, with the men taking fifth, against Delaware State University, Salisbury University, Lincoln University, Gallaudet University and Hood College.
It was a banner day for senior Joshua Goslee, with the jumper not only obtaining a personal best in the long jump at 6.69 meters but also a school record in the pole vault. Goslee attempted the school record at the HBCU Battle two weeks prior after already obtaining first place, this week he needed every bit of might to obtain his mark in the history books.
