NORFOLK, Va., June 11, 2021 – Morgan State University Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Edward Scott has been named president of the Minority Opportunities Athletic Association (MOAA).

Dr. Scott had previously served as MOAA’s vice president for the past two years.
This marks the second appointment for Dr. Scott in the last few months; in March, he was appointed to the NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Panel for a four-year term that will begin on Sept. 1.
Administered by the National Association of Collegiate Athletic Directors (NACDA), MOAA promotes equitable employment opportunities for minorities in the athletics industry through the exchange of ideas, the creation of networking opportunities and the advocation of an increase in employment for minorities in athletics administration positions at all levels of the sports industry.

th year of intercollegiate competition with the 2020-21 academic school year.
