Aggies Release 2021 Indoor, Outdoor Track Schedules

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The North Carolina A&T State men's and women's track & field teams were on the verge of making history at the 2020 NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships before COVID-19 canceled those ambitions right before the Aggies' nine All-Americans prepared to compete in New Mexico.
 
They're back. In addition to having one of the best recruiting classes in the nation, the Aggies also return an abundance of talent. N.C. A&T's director of track & field programs, Duane Ross, announced the teams' indoor and outdoor schedules on Monday. 
 
The season opens in Blacksburg, Va., and Lexington, Ky., for the Virginia Tech Invitational and the McCravy Green Invitational hosted by the University of Kentucky scheduled for Jan. 15-16. 
 
A week after the Aggies' opener, they will travel to Columbia, S.C., for the Carolina Challenge hosted by the University of South Carolina (USC). The Aggies will also return to Winston-Salem and the JDL Fast Track for the JDL Flat is Fast Meet.  
 
USC invites the Aggies back to South Carolina on Feb. 6 for the South Carolina Invitational. The JDL Fast Track hosts the Camel City Invitational, Feb. 5-6. The Aggies third meet of the season at USC will be the USC Indoor Open on Feb. 13. 
 
The Aggies will get to return to the NCAA Indoor Championships, March 12-13, at the University of Arkansas. 
 
The outdoor season begins March 19-20 at High Point University for the Bill Davidson Memorial. The Texas Relays at the University of Texas is next, March 24-27, in Austin, Texas. During the same time, March 26-27, the Aggies go back to USC for the Weems Baskin Invitational. The Aggies return to HPU April 2-3 for the High Point VertKlasse Meeting. The same weekend, the University of Florida will host the Florida Relays.            
 
N.C. A&T will host four track meets on the brand new track surface at Irwin Belk Track. The first will be the Aggie Invitational on April 10, and the second is the Aggie Classic on April 24. For the final time, the Aggies will also host the MEAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, May 6-8. The last Aggie home meet will be the Aggie Classic Twilight on May 16. 
 
The schedule also includes the Gamecock Invitational at USC (April 9-10) and the USC Open (April 17). 
The NCAA Division I East Preliminary Round is May 27-29 at the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla. The University of Oregon will host the NCAA outdoor championships, June 6-9.
