Coppin Men’s 4x400m Relay Victorious at Albany Winter Classic
 
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Coppin State's men's 4x400-meter relay team of Joseph Amoah, Malik John, and Randy Serville closed out the night with a narrow victory at the Albany Winter Classic on Friday at Ocean Breeze Sports Complex. The Eagles 'A' relay edged out Long Island University in a time of 3:14.11, just 26-hundredths of a second ahead of the Sharks. Tatiana Ogundeko shattered her own school-record in the mile run and the women's 4x400-meter relay team took second overall. Ogundeko clocked a 5:02.97 to take eighth overall in a very competitive field and break her old school record by nearly five seconds.

Hawks Appear in South Carolina
 
COLUMBIA, S.C. -- On Friday and Saturday, Maryland Eastern Shore traveled to compete in the South Carolina Invitational. Freshman Aurelia Jepkorir placed second in the 5000 meters with a time of 17:31.64, while sophomore Atinuke Shittu finished in third place in the triple jump by reaching a distance of 12.42 meters.

Sturgis, Wilkerson Claim Victory at Two Different Meets
 
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. / COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Once again, the North Carolina A&T State indoor track & field teams were spread out across the Carolinas over the weekend, as a few Aggies competed at the Camel City Invitational at the JDL Fast Track on Friday and Saturday. Others competed in the South Carolina Invitational at the University of South Carolina. The Aggies had one victory and seven top-5 finishes including three second-place finishes at USC.

Lewis' Meet Record Leads NCCU at Camel City Invite

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. --
Gordon Lewis broke the meet record in the men's 400-meter dash as one of four event wins, three runner-up performances and 14 top-10 finishes by North Carolina Central at the 2020 Camel City Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

Banks Places Third in Heptathlon at VMI Winter Relays
 
LEXINGTON, Va. -- Norfolk State senior Jaylen Banks placed third in the heptathlon to lead a small contingent of Spartans who competed over the weekend at the VMI Winter Relays. Making his season debut, Banks compiled 4,224 points to take third in a meet which included four Spartan multi-event athletes and also one hurdler who competed. Senior Kequan Henley was fifth with 4,011 points, and sophomore Byron Carson was seventh with 3,895 points.

Howard Takes Part in South Carolina Invitational
 
COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Howard men's track & field team took part in the challenging South Carolina Invitational, hosted by the Gamecocks, where they had several bright spots throughout the two-day event (Feb. 7-8). On the women’s side, Philadelphia natives Jessika Gbai and Dasia Wilson led the way with record-setting performances.

Hornets Grab Several First-Place Finishes in the 2020 Frank Colden Invite

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. -- Delaware State competed in the 2020 Frank Colden Invitational at Ursinus College on Saturday afternoon. Freshman Ibrahim Bangura continues to impress, as the rookie finished in first place in the 60 meters for the third time this year. T'Keyah Macklin started the invitational out on the right foot, placing first in the women’s 60 meters with a time of 7.84. It was Macklin's third first-place finish of her career (including relay races).
