Complete USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its 2018-19 All-Academic honors on Monday, and the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) had 13 student-athletes and eight programs among those honored.

In all, the USTFCCCA honored 583 male student-athletes, 902 female student-athletes and 366 programs in Div. I.

For a team to be considered for All-Academic status, it must have a team cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 for the current academic year.

Individual honorees must have at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA for the current academic year, as well as one of the following criteria:
  • For the indoor season, a student-athlete must have finished the regular season ranked in the national top 96 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 48 (collective listing) in a relay event on the official NCAA POP list provided by TFRRS.org.
  • For the outdoor season, a student-athlete must have participated in any round of the NCAA Division I Championships (including preliminary rounds).

Howard, Norfolk State and North Carolina A&T State each saw both their men's and women's programs earn All-Academic status -- as did the Coppin State women and Morgan State women.
