Complete USTFCCCA Div. I All-America List
NEW ORLEANS--The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) officially announced its 2019 outdoor All-Americans on Monday, and the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) boasts 27 individual honorees representing six member institutions, including First Team, Second Team and Honorable Mention.
In all, 10 programs racked up double-digit First Team honorees -- including the North Carolina A&T State men, which boasts 10 such accolades.
The MEAC led all non-Power 5 conferences with 20 First Team All-Americans.
North Carolina A&T State's Kayla White was one of just 14 athletes in all of Div. I to earn First Team accolades in three different events; she earned that status in the 100 meters (where she was the national runner-up), 200 meters and the 4x100-meter relay.
In addition, the USTFCCCA calculated combined points from this past weekend's NCAA Outdoor Championships in Austin, Texas for each conference, and the MEAC ranked in the top 10 in both the men's and women's cateogries. In men's track & field, the MEAC combined to score 23 points, tied with the Summit League for the eighth-most.
On the women's side, the MEAC racked up 22 points, seventh-most.
